TL;DL summary: switching_gate_fit_order.png: The angular correlation is sensitive to which energy you gate on and which energy you fit. In general, gate on the cleaner one. folding_techniques.png: When you fold (or group) data, you add bins together. In the event-mixing technique, you divide histograms. These functions are not commutative. In addition, the fits you get are slightly different than fitting the unfolded (or grouped, though I didn't try it here) spectrum. angcorr_586_565.png: These gamma rays are parallel to each other and should have no angular correlation. There actually should not be angle gammas in coincidence, but there is no time-random background subtraction used in this plot. This gives some idea of the spread around the correlation that we might expect with this technique (<10%).
